Recently we tried one of those 'JML' type insect screens. It is attached to the sides by velcro and has magnets in the centre.
What a load of :swear2: it was. After struggling for a couple of hours cutting and trimming we finally attached the curtain to the sides . Then the magnets were not powerful enough to keep the curtains (screens) together. Slowly (not) but surely (definitely), I removed them and found an ideal place for them. In the dustbin!!!! Waste of time and money.
Other suppliers of the :swear2: insert screens are available.

We've got a built in screen but we've also put up one that looks like chenille catstails. They come in different colors and are quite effective . Around £25

Ageee DON'T buy the Jml ones .. rubbish!!

The cats' tails ones seem ok. £10.

Especially good if you have kids who can open real doors but never close them. :)

The cat tails sound the way to go but. My dog hates cats and just may decide to tear it to shreds.
Thanks again for all the replies.

Strange, But the JML style ones with magnets have given two full seasons of service on our Patio doors at home.?. Mine are some we brought from America (Walmart) in 2012. are they perhaps more serviceable?. One difference is that our patio doors are substantially larger that the average M-H.?

We bought a chenille curtain (they are called a Rideau) in grey & white in July in France at a motorhome agent, it was 21.90 euros.

Nip into B&Q or any other ironmongers, they will more than likely have fly screen type curtains

If you are handy you could make your own and quite cheap too. Metal or nylon mesh and stuck to a nylon baton frame with silicon would be best sting and light. My mate has done this on his motorhome and it looks superb. Can be copied for other vents and openings too. The chennile ones are simple and practical and possible the best choice for a door though.

The Moho we had in NZ had a built in fly screen where you could open the main door and the screen could be latch into place.
When not in use it would latch back onto the main door.

Why don't they build them like that in Europe? or do they?
