Hi guys, I'm well pissed off today just damaged our new motorhome reversing onto
our driveway ! Its only a couple of months old with 495 miles on the clock :(

The damage is confined to the lower moulding around the gas locker so I think i'm
fairly lucky as there is no damage at all to the main side skirt.

Do any of you know if this part would be available on the internet or is it best to take it back to
the supplying stealer to sort out ? (don't want to be ripped off) what would do you
guys think ?

By the way its a 2018 Roller Team T-line 590 !

Sorry to see you have have damaged your pride n joy but at least its repairable and you've not killed anyone, plus it looks light fairly light damage but nonetheless its a lesson you will have learnt...I did similar.

If its so new you might find the part isn't available just to buy but do your research before committing on how you get it repaired. Good luck and try not it ruin your festive period.

If the broken bits can be super glued together...

I would have a go myself at filler paste and touch up paint...

Dealer will probably take you to the cleaners...

Or a half decent car body shop will do a good job..

Don`t look to bad.... will look better in the morning...

Just the shock of what you have done at the moment... annoying you ..

When I bought our first motorhome, a Autotrail Tracker (2012) back from collecting it from the dealer.

Brand new with around 300 miles on the clock. 1st time I drove it.

I managed to reverse into a pile of bricks on our drive. Cracked the rear quarter panel.

But was pleasantly surprised as the part plus fitting was only around £90 from memory.

I hope the news from the dealer is also somewhere around that figure.

Put it down to experience and don't get to upset. :xThumb:

I think, just looking at the picture, this part may only be available from the manufacturer.
What make is it?
I cracked a rear thin plastic panel as I tried to drive off some sand, it is about one foot square. Including decals and fitting it came to £550 but being German, they had the part in stock.

Parts will take months. Google for a plastic bumper repair specialist near you. they will weld the damaged panel, fill, prime and paint in one day. probably about the £300 mark

Always a sickener when you do stuff like that but if you still have the missing piece (or not) it looks an easy repair.

Take a breath ...........it's not the worst thing you will do(y)

I would take it to a plastic repairer/ body shop. Deffo not to your supplier, they will rip you off and don’t contact your insurers either (y)

I’m with most of above, it looks a fairly easy repair.... if your not confident to do yourself then a local recommended repairer will undoubtedly be cheeper then a dealer

Its gutting when that happens, If your a caravan and motorhome club memeber you get 10% off magicman repairs, never tried them but might be worth a quote.

I did similar when I had had ours 3 days. A local caravan body shop fixed it perfectly but it cost around £300. Well worth it when you consider what you paid for it!

I had a very similar part but for a Hymer delivered by return of post from Travelworld for under £200

Well thats number one only two more to go. Funny how they always come in threes. Caught the front of ours on a very low steel loop, Back while reversing in a very tight carpark and the steep on a grass bank that was a little to high :(

Broke mine a couple of days after getting it.
Something, tyre bit from the marks, came off a lorry took off a small skirt panel, small un- noticeable dent in garage door surround and a few large black rubbery marks on the rear and garage door.
Ordered a new skirt panel, only about £30 I think, 4 hours polishing the marks off.
Panel arrived in a few weeks, screwed on and now looks back to perfect.
At least first damage was done, not our fault and now good as new.

I'd put some silver gaffer tape over it until you can repair/replace it or you could lose more of it driving down road if you are unlucky

Hav'n't a clue where you are , but there is a place here in Lanner that does GRP repairs, any thing major they can replicate, I believe a couple of Funsters have used them and were pleased with the result

That’s virtually written off. It would cost more than it’s worth to repair.
I’ll give you £500 for the remains and take my chances.
