A link in the latest Caravan and Camping magazine led me to this guide to leisure batteries. It's about how they are constructed, how they work and how to look after them rather than a comparison of different makes.

I found it interesting and it explained some of the theories expounded on this forum by those who know far more than I do about this subject.

A good guide, apart from the state of discharge table.
The table is only true for leisure batteries, not traction types which can be safely discharged lower. To be fair though, the table is titled 'leisure batteries'.:thumb:

I get pee'd off with batteries, at the NEC today I bought 2 Optima yellow tops, used one on my last twin axle caravan and it was bloody brilliant, the bonus was a brilliant price, they picked me up outside the front door of the NEC and delivered me and the batteries to my car ( it was raining), that saved me £20 plus shipping cost
