Was hoping to make it but now find that we'll be abroad instead, so afraid we will miss the fun

I apologise for being a little sharp earlier in this thread. (Was having a bit of a bad day).

We managed to to get a cancellation New Years Eve before last at the Grouse & Claret thanks to Jude, really enjoyed it. Fully booked quite early in the year last year, ( reason for early booking this year).

Tad expensive, but something to look foreward to. Campsite is basically the pubs back garden. Not much of a stagger back.

I think last years New Year's Eve menu is still on the pubs website. It will give you an idea of what you will get for your £30 aong with a disco, gaming tables and photo booth. (Neither of these were available when we were there).

There is not a rally at the Grouse & Claret it is a meet. You book with the campsite and tell them you're with Fun because Jude will book dinner as a group. It also entitles you to join in with The Birdie Song the Conga etc after you have eaten said meal.

Hope you don't mind me posting this Jude, thought I'd let the Funsters know they need to book early if they fancied meeting up with us.

Grouse and Claret New Year 2018/19 UPDATE
would love to make this one but we are otherwise busy at this time. It's on our doorstep and is regularly used by us and has been for many years. The campsite is behind the Grouse and Claret pub at Rowsley and serve excellent food. There is a bus service within 100 yards to Matlock, Bakewell etc. and there is a working flour mill worth a visit and a retail park next door. From what @Wildge says in the first posting the event dates are from Thursday 27/12/18 till New Years day 01/01/19.

Information re this Meet. Charges are as follows inc. ehu.
Thursday,Sunday, Tuesday £22pn
Fridays,Saturday, Monday £25pn.
Festive Meal including disco, casino, photo booth. £30 per person. This years photos downloaded to facebook
As before..... if you are interested phone Paul (Manager) and book mentioning Motorhome Fun.
It is up to you how long you wish to stay.
Menus will be posted on their website at a later date.
