Hi, we are new to the forum and just two weeks into owning a MH. She's a 20001 Swift Sundance 590RL and she's lovely!

The large threaded cap beneath the grey water tank is missing. I don't know what capacity the tank is, but the pipe with the missing cap measures 140mm or 5.5 inches diameter.

A couple of questions, is it normal/acceptable to run without it and, if I need to replace it ( I think I should) where can I source a replacement? I've googled it but not yet found a screw cap of that diameter available.

Thanks!

So does that mean the waste water just runs straight out of the bottom of the tank, where the cap is missing? Without any control over it?

Hi, I have a waste water tank I removed from. 1998 Swift 500. If you are near Southampton you are welcome to borrow the red cap until you can get a new one

Hi 68c, many thanks for your kind offer. Unfortunately, we are not near Southampton, but it gives me cause for optimism that there are suitable tank caps out there! I have emailed a couple of the Leisure Line type tank stockists to see what is about. All the best.......

Hope you get it sorted - very infra-dig to just let the waste water run where it will. Normal expectation is that you drain the tank down a suitable drain although just posting this reply will wake up the rough campers on the forum who will share their delight in grey watering the environment and why it is not a problem . . . .
