Autotrail Apache 634
Exp
Since 2020
Firstly if you have noticed that I have asked too many questions, I apologise. I must be way over my quota but there is such a lot of knowledge out there and good ideas that I just cannot resist.

So here goes for another:-

My 2016 AutoTrail Apache 634 has a grey waste outlet as shown in picture. It is marked 40 which I assume is 40mm.
Whilst away this week, I have noticed other MoHo owners have a flexible pipe to use a full service pitch. However all flexi's appear much smaller diameter than 40mm and other mohos seem to have a smaller outlet pipe to begin with.

So can I get an easy and neat reducer and smaller Flexi to carry, or do they make a larger dia Flexi to fit my outlet.

Many thanks in advance.

'40mm' pipes are all slightly different sizes depending on whether they are ABS, PVC, polpropylene etc as well as different brands. If a compression fitting won't fit, when all else fails you can use one of these - a flexible connection.

For a hose to a service pitch drain, I use washing machine outlet extension hose. They usually have moulded ends that can be pushed together. You can get a 40mm to washing machine hose reducer (sometimes called an appliance hose adaptor). They are used to connect a washing machine hose to a kitchen sink waste pipe for example.
It fits onto a compression fitting like this for example
And to answer the last bit, yes you can get 40mm flexible hose, but I only remember seeing it in a shop in Europe, not UK. I think 'Henry Hoover' hose works, but not tried it myself.

I may be missing something here but why don't you just get a 40mm inner diameter flexi hose and push straight on.

not a good pic but that's what I did.

I cant recall where I sourced the pipe but a quick google brought up a few sites.

Try this one https://www.thehosemaster.co.uk/bla...pP0tMj6f7ccjB9ani791BacdPcyog_l0aAv9REALw_wcB

I’m absolutely not touting but I recently bought a hose specifically designed for the Autotrail outlet thinking it would fit my 21 model (it doesn’t - mine is much smaller). It’s a corrugated tube with a connector that slides over the exit point on the van and was sold as an Autotrail specific part.

If you want I can pop it in classifieds, never been used of course.

Autotrail are one of the few UK makers who fit a decent size grey waste outlet. John's Cross Motorhomes sell flexible wastes specifically designed for your Autotrail. They do mail order. Don't forget to use your MHF discount code when buying.

I got some corrugated pipe at the local garden centre.

I also bought some carrot seed, but you don’t need to know that.;)

I have bought 40mm hose from both Chelston and CAK tanks. As an aside, be careful if ever buying rigid 40mm pipe. My Laika uses 40mm pipe which is actually 40mm. For some reason, the British equivalent is either 41mm or 43mm depending on whether it's solvent weld or push fit and it doesn't fit!

I use the Colapz adaptor

Absolutely delighted with Collapz adapter, which arrived today.

We got a screw-on waste fitting with our Carthago which attached to a ridiculously short (50cm?) corrugated hose. When we get home that is too short to reach the drain on our drive, and I’d always struggled to fit a slightly smaller diameter hose into the Carthago one.
But fitting the Collapz adapter onto the end of the Carthago fitting with a jubilee clip, and then a couple of Collapz pipes into it seems to work a treat, and takes up a lot less room in the van.

Amazed at how many of you fit reducers 😳 no wonder we have to queue to dump sometimes 🤔

as mentioned earlier pond pump suppliers will certainly have the same size you need, do not reduce size and risk potential blockage and an frustrated queue 😁🤔👍

I might be wrong but:
The next time you go to, (or past) the tip, keep a look out for the extendable Dyson convoluted pipe found on their vacuum cleaners.
You just might find that the pipework fits 40mm grey wastes :whistle2:
