Ferry tickets arrived this morning.
Booked with Viamare, excellent service, as usual had credit, from 2020, as unable to travel then.
Prices gone up about 50%since then Crossing Ancona to Igoumenitsa
All booked for September.
Something to look forward to.

I wouldn't do September again, September/October is their storm season we had their worst weather for a hundred years when we went.

We have exchanged views on this before. You said worst for 100 years, so it is not normal.

I have been down there for most of last 40 years in Sept/Oct and cannot recall weather like you describe.

For me it is a good time because the busy holiday period is over, the temperature(air and sea) are warm but not blistering and tavernas are still open and the owners are more relaxed.

Stop scaring people.

We are planning to do Greece and Crete (third attempt) arriving May - July and have also had quotes from Viamare including 20% early booking discount. Bari - Igoumenitsa. Patras - Bari €417.0, Hopefully we will get there this year.

We like to go September, nice warm sea, just out of season, so not to
busy.
Always had good weather, maybe just been lucky
