Hi. Just about to leave a lovely unusual site in Aberdovey. Nyth Robin is in a forest just two miles out of the main picturesque town of Aberdovey in North Wales. The pitches are set within the forest with pull-in hook up pitches meandering into the wooded areas. Easy access for even the larger Motorhome and a great toilet block with all amenities. There is a small lake/pond and lovely walks into the forest with log seating on the way up and a couple of clearings for a tree swings and fairy lighting making it quite magical at night. They do a few glamming cabins and a really old caravan painted in flowers and animals with verandas and fire pit and bbq. Very quaint. The owners are lovely and they hire fire pits out and sell wood on site. It really is a relaxing, lovely spot and I cannot wait to come back. My dogs loved it and the bonus is it is open until the end of November and is even open over New Year from the 30th!! This coastline is lovely too — if you can bare to venture from the site!!

Hi. The entrance to the site is off the main quite winding road which runs along the coastline— so you are looking over the beach before going up a track for about 150 yards to opening to the site. Don’t know how far away an opening down to the beach is from the site but Aberdovey itself is only about 2 miles. The last photo is not the road to the pitch — it is the start of one of the forest walks!!

Lovely spot, we were there several years ago. The only time I have ever been stuck when we lost grip on the slate road to the top site (towing the 400 Burgman).

I know it is an older Hymer, but in that pic it looks so 'Goddam American'

Might come again now Hymer Group is owned by Thor Industries.

The only thing that puts me off is the fire pits. I hate the smell of smouldering wood wafting into the van until the early hours of the morning. Apart from that the setting looks great.

We often wish we had kept the old 694 but it was replaced by a 'Goddam American' that has now, due to DVLA and my illness, been replaced by (heaven forbid) a 'wobblebox' towed by a Shogun - at least I don't get stuck and have towed several motorhomes off wet grass (including at Jim's) so seem to be accepted!
