hi there,

It’s the start of a journey to find and then grow to love the Motorhome freedom my wife and I can now enjoy having retired. Looking round for a low cost launch into motorhoming with our first purchase. Probably will be conservative to begin like most people. Looking for a trustworthy , honest and fair opportunity to buy by ordinary hard working & honest people! Advice welcomed.

Hi Chris,

Just 2 berth , perhaps 12 to 20 years old. Something modest but reliable from a reputable source. I really like the Auto-Sleepers but appreciate they hold their money well. As I am completely new to MH I am trying to gather as much information as I can to make sense of the mind boggling number of options available. I’ve come from a caravan world so not completely a novice but I do appreciate it’s completely different on the road and pitched up.

Hi there. Go round a few dealers, look at lay outs and figure out what you like. Then set your budget and go from there. :HelloThere:

There are so many different vans Phillip that I think you need to decide what layout you want first and then go from there. Layout is really important. Almost as important as rugby.

Hello Welcome to Fun, have a think about the layout you will be comfortable with, then have a look around make sure you check the pay load and definately check for damp. Don't forget you only have 5 free posts then you need to join £15 a year but probably the best money you will spend you'll be able to ask as many questions you need and check out information . Good luck with your search.

Hi Philip, visit a lot of dealers and sit in a lot of vans, or visit one of the big outdoor shows, Malvern next weekend, Shepton and Lincoln in a few weeks, and sit in hundreds. You'll soon get a feel for the layout that might suit you. Then its a matter of tracking down the can at the right price, we can help there. Best of luck and welcome to the fun (y)

Just remember it's not a Caravan to be pitched up. Lots to choose from but at that sort of age you need to look very carefully and make sure that there is no damp anywhere. If there is walk away it can take ages to find leaks.
