Typical Bank Holiday weather in Wales. It's so grey and horrible its still dark and so windy I fear for my roof slates. :Eek!:

Pretty much the same in Basingstoke. Bar and I spent the weekend cleaning carpets and upholstery and I intended washing all the vehicles today.
Oh well, at least the Sound of Music is on TV this afternoon:Laughing:

Regards

Missed your chance, should be in Scotland, windy but warm & sunny. :Rofl1:
Got my head burned yesterday. :Eeek:

Hi cold, windy and overcast here in suffolk, been up since 7, grandson stayed last night and decided that it was time to get up at 7, nana just pretended to be asleep. clever nana

Wouldn't have been to bad but we had a family party and me and brother-in-law stayed up till 2.30 drinking Greenore irish whisky. Luckily no hangover.

Olley

I reckon Nana had the right idea too. You want to stay up carousing until 2.30 in the morning, especially at your age, you deserve to be landed with the grandchildren. :shout:

We took the sensible way out and moved three counties away from the nearest offspring. :thumb:

Hi winds and wet in wales.

supposed to have a guy coming tomorrow to make a concrete base for my new shed (mass storage area:RollEyes:) and wonder if he can do it in this weather:Doh:

BTW:- we are in South Wales

I feel sorry for anyone away in this weather.

800ft up a hill in Glossop Derbyshire and it's WILD!! Campsite not called Windy Harbour for nothing!:Rofl1:

Very very windy and has been since we got here on Friday evening.

Awning still standing - can recommend the Sunncamp Aspect for windy weather! :thumb:
We've had to disconnect it from the van though as the drive-away bit kept coming off.

At least it hasn't rained yet - the field gets very soggy when it rains so we're hoping it will hold off!:Eeek:

Is it summer yet????

Marie

Course it's summer Marie
Friends of ours from Canada are in this country at the moment. They were staying up here last week and we had great weather for days out.
On Friday they moved on to Glossop so not getting it so good now
Just checked the BBC forecast though and it looks alright for the coming weekend when we will be there to visit my Mum

Well the campsite has been full this bank holiday  with folks mainly from Bristol area and they must be seasoned caravanners and motorhomers because they said they have all had a great time and they are all used to the great british weather ! Been windy with the odd shower but not cold.

It has been chucking it down and blowing a gale all day here in West London. More like winter than spring. The roads are flooded and apparently there is more rain on its way. To make it worse two days ago we were on a beach in Corfu, beneath a blue cloudless sky and it was 28'C, and we left it all to come home to this.

clear blue sky, no clouds at all and a light breeze.

outdoors working on 'van and getting a little sunburnt.

bring it on......

evidently we get the crap tonight.

Well, so much for calm, sunny and warm!
I spent the last few hours at my mother's house, cutting the hedges.
High ladder, high wind and highly nasty power tools don't mix!

I retired to the summer house with a bottle of wine - the hedges can wait...

Had a brilliant five days in Dumfries & Galloway. Wall to wall sunshine every day.
Almost glad the campsites around Gloucestershire that I tried where fully booked.
So we decided to head north for a change. Couldn't have wished for a better weekend. Mull of Galloway, Portpatrick, Red Kite Trail & Feeding Station, Mennock Valley, Leadhills & Wanlockhead Railway, Leadhills Museum & Beam Engine, Sweatheart Abbey, Caverlock Castle. And the glorious sunsets from the campsite at Rockcliffe.

I did not want to come home.

wet?

I don't think it has stopped raining here in Watford for the last two days.

Only ever happens on my days off.

Brilliant Friday and Saturday at CC site at Thetford forest - BBQ on Friday evening!
Then Sunday it all changed! P...ing down with wind etc. We decided to call it a day and head home.
The great British summer has started!!!

 If it's ANY consolation to you guys and gals in the UK? The weather here in Spain has been a little iffy for the last couple of weeks. In fact at the moment? There is another Thunderstorm.

 Still. Spain HAS been praying for MORE Rain. Guess they got their wish? :Rofl1:

That'll all change after the weekend, cos we'll be in L'Escala :thumb:
It'll be wall to wall sunshine, you'll see :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Mind you if it's anything like previous years it'll get just as hot and sunny here
