Anyone stayed at Gravelines Aire lately, are there any issues like the problems they had at cite Europe?

We stayed two weeks ago, just on night but no problems at all. A very quiet peaceful night. Only one other Brit van there.

Edit, this was the Aire by the marina.

We also stayed a couple of weeks ago (were we the other Brit van?) Not many vans, one Frenchman seemed to be doing some work on his and had a generator but he stopped at about 5:00pm. Pleasant meal in Baker Street, we were the only ones inside though the tables outside were busy.
We had a quiet night but for some road noise from across the river..

Maybe you were. We were on the grass. Arrived late and left mid morning. The other Brit van was overlooking the boats.

We were overlooking the boats - in fact that reminded me that the gulls did a bit of shrieking at dawn- but the grassed area was virtually empty. That would have been the night of the 22nd.
The only other GB plate I saw was on a PVC with bikes on the back. They were still there when he left quite early next morning which I took as a good sign.

Sounds like a different night. We are in a Chausson coachbuilt. Hope you had as good a trip as we did.
Roll on next time.

If the OP is referring to the illegals problem, Gravelines I think is far enough away from the ferry ports and routes that they don't bother - we've certainly never seen any. What we have seen is the occasional police car cruise past.

As regards thefts from M/H's this can happen anywhere. However I believe that on the occasion many people refer to the van was not actually on the official Gravelines aire but an alternative parking area across the river. More likely to be a local opportunist than an illegal.

We are here now and we managed to get the last spot over looking the mariner. I’ve been here many times but not for a few years. It’s really busy, and the main reason it’s full of french motorhome’s is because the payment machine is broken! :ROFLMAO:

And there are no signs of any would be passengers like I have witnessed at cite Europe in the past!

We were there Monday and Tuesday night this week😊No probs! Fled there from Auchen and City de Europe after having immigrants in camper(with wife in it)Found the services as well.short drive away!

A nice evening on Graveline aire !
