Can anyone help me fit a crank up dish?
i will be your neighbour on 26 and would be happy to help with the fitting of your crankup
i purchased a crankup a couple of months ago and fitted it, works a treat i must say
it would take around 2-2.5 hours
the correct size drills
i have a holecutter the correct size if needed
i did mine in the dark
I have a series of photographs somewhere I took when we fitted mine. It really is an easy job and the dish is just so easy to use. We arrived on site today at 1402hrs and Jessica was watching Babyfirst by 1404hrs
If you want I can email the pics to you
Must order it and make sure my drill is charged (alway flat when In need it)
Where do you by the drill bits?
Beers no probs
i can provide the holecutter and drills and electric drill to save you buying anything
just post a list of the things needed in the instructions and i can make sure i bring everything along, i have all the bits necessary from when i did mine but just need reminding on the list.
you need a special electric drill with a large chuck as the hole saw is quite a large fitting for the chuck
when you get the instructions have a careful think about the sweep of the dish and where you want it positioned in the motorhome for ease of use and it will not be obstructed by anything on the roof
i am happy to help,
Wished I had it for my French trip in early September.
Never had any problems with a tripod and dish while caravaning but with the RV cannot see the TV to turn it in with a tripod
I think you can count on Geo and I helping out to mate, Geo fitted one a while ago on his RV and I want to watch Hugh drinking and drilling at the same time
Easy job mate, just make sure there is plenty of refreshments for the workers mate
I might bring a crankup in a box as well then, we can have a fitting party, I'll go last after everyones learned by their mistakes
No.. I'll go first before you've got drunk
Any suggestions where I will get one? and don't anyone say Outdoor Bits:Tongue:
He's already done that, he's enlisted my hostess servcies to make tea/coffee and hand out beers!

My RV does not have a ladder can anyone bring one?
If not I have a huge one that I can bring but OTT
Well John, looks like the first fitting party of motorhomefun!
He offered to bung a CD/radio into my bus so he's going to have a busy weekend
Be sure not to "upset" anyone mate or some turkey will change the name of the album which we will of course be posting
Get a ladder and Hugh can fit that before fitting the dish
Look out Hun!!
Is there any bodyshop owning RV'er coming along
should i bring me hobnail boots for carefully walking around on the roof?
