No good if you have an electric retractable step though as it won't be able to slide back into the casing if its too thick!

Thank you @JeanLuc , GaryYou can fit the Fiamma version since that is not as thick as real Astroturf. As I stated above, I have had these covers on my steps for a few years (Omnistep twin-step retracting). There is plenty of clearance - in fact there might be sufficient to fit Astroturf if I wanted to.
I've got some stick on 'sandpaper' type grit strips on ours Accent and our Globecar, about an inch wide and long enough to go from each end of the step, this stops it being slippery - I had expected to have to replace them on the Accent but they were still well stuck when we px'd it nearly 3 years later!Mel ours is an electric retractable step and we have had it on for the past 3 years, held in place with cable ties, think they help with safety on the step 100%.
