Google in their wisdom have removed the 'user created maps' search feature.. This used to be in a drop down box on the maps search ..

I searched 'Google Maps Help' and found this thread ..

Yes, we agree- people from all over the world should be able to search for your map and be able to find it without crazy instructions. We are working on improving the indexability of user-created maps in Google.com search, where (as you might expect) most of the searching is happening anyway. Staggeringly few users discovered the previous "user-created maps" option in maps search, which even when alive was not providing all the value it should have to drive traffic to your great maps.
