Looking at bus journey between Mablethorpe and Skegness Google maps says this

But the bus timetable says this

Just over an hour, how's that work?

I reckon about 35-40 minutes by car, close to an hour on the bus. Double that in August.

Yeah I know that, done it from your place , just don't understand how Google maps gets it to 4 hours.

I guess that if your bus company advertised with Google your bus route is the top of the list "all by magic" regardless of it taking longer than the usual service.

I think it's saying that you're going to miss the 14:00 bus, as you've allowed zero time for boarding, and is adding the wait for the 15:00 bus.

Yeah but if the one they are saying takes 4 hours, it's still going to be 2 hours longer than waiting for the next one.

All I'm trying to say, even though I am totally dedicated to Google maps they are way out with this if you were using it to catch a bus.

Ah. In that case, maybe it is showing a connection that is not necessary. i.e. you get the bus to Skegness Bus Station, then wait around an hour to go one stop on another bus to the "centre" of Skegness. I wonder if you ask about a trip to "Skegness Bus Station" instead of just "Skegness", it gives more sensible times?
