As you will see from my other posting we are off to Germany in two weeks time.

We would like to know of any good retailers in Germany you could suggest we visit?

Germany still has department stores and they are chains one I can remember is Horten, kaufhof is another, sorry it is over 20 years since I was there for any length of time and retail therapy is not high on my agenda as I hate it.

Kaufhof is good assuming you've just remortgaged your house.
For the ladies, don't forget that C&A is still alive and kicking in the rest of Europe (and the sales are on!).

Other than that, Aldi and Lidl in profusion.

Colyboy, we visited the Neismann and Hymer dealer Durrwang in Dortmund, get a great reputation and do an export service, English spoken. Went to look at the Mli and new B class, still can't decide, think we are really just IH'ers at heart!!
If you are down near Polch in the Moselle you need to visit the Neismann factory and showroom, absolutely amazing! Also huge dealerships nearby.
If you are heading south towards Lake Constance then a visit to the Carthago factory and showroom is also worthwhile. Stellplatz on both if required.

Plus one for the Carthago factory/showroom complex. German engineering and technicians in practice - simply a joy to watch.
