Always - off and on
Ferry prices to Arran are being reduced due to RET (road equivalent tariff ) being introduced for the Island of Arran, sometimes known as mini Scotland - lovely place, we haven't been since we had a trailer tent which was all but demolished in the wind, when family were young but will go back next year.

Saw it on the news last night. We were there recently and the cost was 70 something. Might even be cheaper going there than the 10 min ferry ride to Millport

I haven't priced it yet we are at Tummel Valley just now - our first foray at a holiday park but £10 a night star pitch. Electricity for the frosty night last night still some colour left on the trees. Lovely.

Thanks for the invite but we are back home, grandkids coming for the weekend. Another time (y)

Excellent news.. my eldest son lived in Lochranza until recently.. big old farm house behind the distillery ...

our last trip to visit him we took the ferry to Brodick then from Lochranza to Claonaig .. from there we went up the west coast to Oban and Skye, lovely drive .. and you miss all the tourist traffic on the busy road going up Loch Lomond .

If you haven't visited, it is a lovely Island with some good places to wild camp..

Just don't stop in Ardrossan or you may lose your wheels and any other easily removed bits and pieces.;-O

Is that the tarif for a motorhome or a car ? or is there no surcharge :)

Well worth at least one visit at that price. May even go this year yet.

Haven't been to Arran since Secondary School trek camp, we walked to Lochranza and down to Whiting Bay, will definitely give it a visit again.(y)
