Sounds like a good deal, but be aware the handset is not 5G ready - so probably explains why they are “free”.

Nothing wrong with 4G handsets, we've just got a couple of Redmi Note 10 Pros which are brilliant, if you want to pay silly money for 5G (and actually NEED it) then feel free to do so.

and just make sure you're in one of the shaded areas with direct line of sight of a 5g mast.

Still think the Note 10 Pro is better than the Note 11.(y)

Quite agree with you Mel, but it is a 2 year contract and I mentioned the lack of 5G in case anyone tempted by this very good deal was thinking about longer term usage and the possibility of wanting to make use of 5G for hotspot/video streaming etc.

Yup, not many of them around although they will increase but slowly. Also there is a bit school of thought that the more that jump on the 5G wagon that the service will be degraded and those using 4G could get nearly as good a service as 5G, this did happen with 3G and 4G in our area.

I haven't had the 11 so can't say, but so long as it does what the owner wants it doesn't really matter.

Agree, anyone who wants 5G is likely to wait a long time for it in most areas.
