We have had a traumatic time of it with Georgie, I took them for a walk as always and she started fitting, I managed to get her onto the footwell on my mobility scooter and she was fitting again and again...…..I phoned Robert and he came over in the car, he put her in the car and we swapped, so he took my scooter home and I took Georgie too the vet, they knew she was coming...……..
They put her under anaesthetic...…..she was later taken from Ayr to Kilmarnock in a practice vehicle with a vet in attendance....the vet phoned to say that she had been taken off the anaesthetic but was not really with it or responding, but she was swallowing, so she is now off oxygen, but still being monitored.
This morning we had to make the decision none of us want to make, but we have to do what is right for them.
Rest in peace Georgie girl an carry on being a calamity over the rainbow bridge...…...:heartbreak:

Hazel, I'm so very very sorry for both you and Robert's loss.

Having been through a similar senario recentaly, I know the heartache and the why's you are both feeling at present, but please look back on the good times and two way love you were both privileged to have enjoyed with Georgie, it will both help and hurt though.

We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. I am always saddened when I read about the loss of beloved pet. The pictures of Georgie made me cry, she reminded me of our lovely Collies we have had over the years. They are amazing animals and no other breed can match them.

She will have left a huge hole in your heart, it never heals in truth but you get used to not having them. I am sure she had a wonderful life with you and repaid you a million times over in love and affection.

RIP Georgie

So very sorry, we've had to make this decision 3 times now, it's heartbreaking, after we lost Sam our Westie in January I said to OH I can't go through that again. But we so miss having a dog.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
Our other collie Gabby looks completely lost as does our cat Pepsi.
The house is so quiet, its painful, the kind messages from the funsters are a real source of comfort.
