Just had to say goodbye to the most gentle, calm and loving dog I have ever known. Woody, AKA Shardanell Thyme will Tell. 12 1/2 years of long walks and comfort. Grief is the price you pay for love, and never was a dog more loving or more loved.

Thanks to you all. Tough job holding him as injection took effect. But my duty as a last act of kindness. I take comfort that he had a good life with lots of walks.
I shall miss his heavy head on my lap as I eat breakfast and his leaning on me for half a malteaser at the end of the day.
Truly a dog without fault. I'll miss him.

This is so true, I've often said that a dogs love is unconditional, all they ask for is some love back & nurturing.

I get one to look after every day and he is 12 now..and I worry about him...
