My name is Glen and my wife's name is Margaret. 3 months ago my wife treated herself to a 1990 Talbot Express Rambler Auto sleeper. Petrol model. Although we were given the drivers manual there is no such Manual for the Auto Sleeper. Whist googling for help I came across this site so decided to join to see if I can get help with any problems etc. I live in Southport.

At long last found someone with a van just like mine. How long have you had it.
The gear change is rather difficult but I think it might be due to me driving an automatic Honda Jazz everyday.
How I wish I had Power steering, I am thinking of having it fitted next year, its called EPS have you heard of it?
Have you by any chance got a manual for the auto sleeper side of the vehice

I will also see if my son has still got the dvd about the talbart... I have had mine since new so have had it for 24 years. if I can help you I will. my name is mike. and my tele phone is 07977560533. good luck. but I will get back in touch.

Thanks Mike I have made a note of the phone number, keep in touch.
There is a firm who fits ESP in Bolton and charges £650 and does it in 4 to 5 hrs., it's a bit nearer than Strafford. Trying to find out if anyone else has used this Bolton Firm.
    Many Thanks
    Glen
