Golf. First round since February

Just played 18 holes at Haverhill golf course. Millionaires golf indeed, hardly anyone around, 2 ball only, perfect for isolation, exercise, wonderful. Can’t touch each other’s balls though.

Oh dear wait for the comments about golfers and their balls!

Are you still allowed a hole in one?

I thought you were going to announce a hole in one with you posting in an insurance section ??

I can't understand what golf has to do with the motorhome insurance general discussion forum?
Regardless.... Its a pain in the arse having to stop driving twice on our lane to make sure the 2nd & 14th fairways are clear.

Only if ya creep into the bushes. I’ve had two holes in one. My friend has had two holes in one in the same round, amazing.

Did it spoil a good walk :giggle:

I’ve played twice this week, Tuesday and Thursday. Woodlands near Bristol is not members only so it’s busier than I’ve ever seen it. Strict rules though and I’ve been taking the MH so that I have my own toilet and handwashing facilities! . Don’t the balls run on well :giggle: Greens very slow though.

So envious ?

Rejoined my local club as after lockdown it was members only. 2 days later - guests allowed ?.

At least I can play at anytime and in the competitions now. 3 rounds this week ? already.

Golf = big business in Spain- Portugal and Turkey in the non summer months, water is more often than not recycled within course.

Walk, exercise, fresh air and a decent quality of golf all things considered.
Didn't spoil my walk.
Phil. Inmescorecard
I should add that when I played golf it extended my walk. The course may have been approx 4 miles long altogether but buy the time I had finished a round I would probably have walked twice as much.
I played golf for quite a while but eventually gave it up as a bad job that I wasn't going to get any better at.
It was at the time good fun and good company.

Great Game often in fabulous locations. For me it comes three parts: The Before, on arrival a bit of banter with fellow golfers , The Inbetween the serious matter of Golf or not so serious and the After which is the 19th hole and more Banter.
What’s not to like.
