It had to happen like this!
In the 18 months that we have had our Motorhome my wife had only driven about 30 yards across a field, being scared to drive it on the road - until yesterday.
2 days earlier while walking in the Lake District I was trying to avoid a very muddy path, one foot slipped and the other leg gave way, badly pulling a muscle - unable to put any weight on it, we were saved by a lovely couple who helped me to get down this very muddy path, to their extremely smart BMW and drove us back to our van
After a days enforced rest there was no way that I was going to be able to drive, so Sharon ended up driving the 280 miles from the Lake District home in 1 day

To all the people worried about driving their van, this proves that it isn't that bad, but it's probably better to prctice on an easier road, than have to start by getting out of a site on to a narrow road

Fortunately we were not far into the Lake District, it could have been worse!

Congrats Mrs @Jasz .
Its the reason I started driving our van. I didn't want to have to drive it for the first time in an emergency.
