I’m a newbie
Hi, my husband died in September and I now have a 2004 Autotrail Tracker which is in very good condition to use for myself and my dog but where do I start. I have been to a local site in Wales for a night to get used to it on my own but want to go further afield. Any tips would be great.

Just put a pin in the map and off you go.
We like Holgates site in Silverdale Cumbria as our go to site. This weekend were off to Shrewsbury.
Check out the camping apps .

Try heading round the Welsh coast, are you North , SOuth or Mid wales?

Set a start and end point and take your time, there are lots of places to be found. I like a trip round Wales ending up North.
Try these apps
park4night
searchforsites
then there are , Pub Stops, certified locations,
the list goes on.
Make the most of it FinnLulu and as your confidence/experience grows you can go durther afield.

good luck

Your spoilt for choice living in Wales.
But further afield why not try the lake district or peak district. Both beautiful with lots of great dog walks on your door step.
Then get across to France and the world is your oyster 😃

Hi FinnLulu, so sorry to hear about your husband. You sound a little bit like me ! I got braver bit my bit, as you say, starting near home, and then i started going to familiar places about an hour away. Just me and my dog , I love it, currently chilling in the Lakes. People on sites tend to be very friendly, I’m always up for a chat but I enjoy my own company too. If you don’t feel confident, fake it til you do 😉 x

Some of my favourite sites for solo campervanning , Bryn Ednyfed , Anglesey. Meathop Fell, Cumbria, Fairoaks, Chester. Would love to hear about others Finn Lulu or other members have found ? 🙂
