For a stopover enroute, does it matter, I'd think the services likely to cost less.
Good farm shop apparently
You'd be surprised the same family/company own Gloucester services and if my memory is right Gloucester services are £24 for overnight stays OUCH
Not sure if Tebay is cheaper

Last time we were going north and stopped at Tebay they had opened up a temporary stone based car park to the north and west of the site. Turn left after the main buildings before you get to the petrol station and it’s about 50 yards on and up to the right. I presume they will, for a charge, let you stay on there. It’s two main advantages over the main parking is it’s away from the main site roadways, it’s much flatter, and it has some nicer views. There was a notice saying the camp site was permanently closed as you passed the old entrance to it.

There's a truck stop at junction 38 that is popular with truckers and good parking area. Pull in and ask. If no, pop onto Tebay.
