I once found myself in a similar setup with a motorhome. The dirt road ran out and I had to reverse over a kilometre at not less than 5kph so as not to burn out the automatic clutch. Not quite as dire - had about 18 inches of clearance on either side. Made my wife get out and walk though as she's much too valuable to risk, her expertise being more in the area of cooking, cleaning, re-attaching limbs....

And my female boss (wife) complains when our sat nav takes us on some narrow roads will show her this, that will keep her quiet
