Glow plugs issue?

Got a 21 plate Ducato , had it since July 21 , noticed now the glow plugs amber warning light comes on , flashes a bit then goes out when I turn the ignition on . I wait until it goes out before starting the engine but it has only started occurring recently. Is this normal ? The van has been used quite a bit now, is this to be expected once higher mileage is reached or a potential issue with the glow plugs? It is a bit colder now but didn’t notice it last year when it was colder. Any diesel mechanics out there with advice would be much appreciated.
