The trouble is they are in Maidstone in Kent and we are in Axminster.
Any ideas besides for the travel of how to get a new battery as its guaranteed?

Is there a local branch?

No local branch. I checked

Is the battery just flat, if so why has it gone so, or has the battery died ? In other words a cell has packed up ?
Decifering that could save a trip to Kent.

Not sure how to check that. I've put the multimeter on it and after sitting for 2 days it goes down to 11.7.

Is the starter battery. Under the driver seat along with a leisure battery that reads 13.5

I thought both would get charged with the solar panel but it didn't charge the vehicle one.

When we came back after 3 weeks away(flight) all the radio lights were off and the engine management said, on the dash, fatal engine error, or similar to that, we put the home charger on it for just one hour (from the garage electric) and it all came back on and the van starte , weird, just after an hour charge?

To charge the starter battery from the solar you need a battery master connected from your leisure battery to the starter battery, this allows a trickle charge to the starter battery assuming the leisure battery is fully charged from the solar,. If the vehicle has been standing for 3 weeks there will be some drain on the starter battery but would have thought it should be OK for 3 weeks.
Battery masters are around £ 20 of e Bay and easy to fit.

Thanks. I'll look into that. I might have to buy a new one as we're are away shortly and can't wait to get a result from seller.

Disconnect the starter battery, charge it, then take a multi meter reading. Leave it for a few hours then take another reading, if it is then flat or discharged a cell has gone down and battery is deceased.
If it still has the same charge in it with nothing connected after that time then you have an electrical drain somewhere and battery is ok.

It is possible that an alarm, if you have one fitted, will drain the battery and it is just flat. Try charging it up fully first and test it - just an hour will only put a surface charge on it. I used to connect my van on the hook up every couple of weeks or so just to keep it topped up. There could be various reasons why the solar has not kept it charged so it will be worth understanding exactly what you have and whether it is sufficient to put a charge back in to compensate for any drain on it whilst unused.

It's down to 11.38 now after just 3 days. I'll try that @Oldbob thanks

Another leisure battery under rear lounge bed.

You can just see the front one.

Got my battery master from Fun shop, I think. I got a lot of good help from this site but in the end, due to problems accessing the split charge relay, had an auto electrician fit it. But generally, it would seem very easy to do it yourself.

Try and get the instructions for your display panel.
There may be a setting which will allow you to adjust hiw much power goes into the engine and leisure batteries.
Do you know which panel have?

This is the only display panel i have

I've purchased another battery now. Let's hope that's OK. I'll get a BtB charger when i get back from France.
