We were lucky enough to get tickets for Glasto this year, we’re Glasto virgins but has been on the bucket list for years, due to the size of Motorhome we are on Bath & West Showground with 24hr shuttlebuses in to the festival. What’s the facilities like at B&W water fill points etc?

Anyone else going ? :drinks:

Yes I will be there went to the first one when I was 15 I'm now 65, drove round that way today seems like it's getting bigger, have a good time I will be going home every night

Wow I bet you’ve seen a few changes over the years, are you living close enough that you get complimentary tickets ?

Sue i met him before and yes colourfull, and yes only live not too far away do a bit of charity work there.

We are going but in East camper field - small van ? and posse of daughter and family ( in tent between us and bestie in next pitch in trailer tent) Look on the Glastonbury Chat f book page lots of comments/ tips about Bath and West but mainly about how easy it is to get to the festival. Glastonbury festival is the best place in the world. Not like other festivals if you have been to others, bigger and 24 hours a day marvellous .See you in the fields xxx

Obsessed with festival I have searched my f book websites and B and W is hard standing - showers toilets and friendly security staff . All will be well ❤️❤️

Kirsten Thanks for that, I will join the f book page I think, just need to see if I can fill up with fresh water or need to transport it down the m way with me.

Happy Festival, lets prey for the weather not that I’m religious :sun::Grin::sun:

Early Tuesday morning monster showers supposedly I think its churning up a bit now

Nonsense Angus Boy it will be sunny Q hot in fact !!
:)
Rudski01 I assume water available in site at B and W as they have showers etc. I always go with full water tank and huge plastic bottles to re fill on site- as in the fields the water is always miles away. Take a carrier /watering can .You could take a tiny tent and pitch it inside the festival- leave evening coats/chairs etc in it so you can stay out all day [and night ] . I am quite giddy with glee today - van packed to ceiling and it is sunny and hot ! We are staying in a nearby campsite Monday night and we will be on site by 13.00 Tuesday gods willing ! Enjoy . See you at the stone circle for the sunrise:love:

Not with the showers we just had remember I m not far from there lol

@ Kirsten get the tent idea but I’m sure it said lockers available to put stuff, Glasto virgin hear so just trying to glean info from forums etc.

Travelling down after work Tuesday evening stopping near Tewkesbury for a stopover then hitting the road early wed morning for B&W, will fill up at stopover, can normally take enough for seven days if showering out of van.
We still need to pick our van up as it’s in for warranty work so that s a seven hr round trip on Saturday hopefully load up on Sunday.

@ angusboy hopefully the upgraded drainage will disperse the rain before the masses arrive, if not I’ve got me big boots::bigsmile:

Rudski - If it gets muddy like in 2016(?) then be glad you're on the Bath & West. It might be a minor inconvenience having to be bussed in every day but at least it's hardstanding and you know you're going to get away on Sunday night/Monday morning. In 2016 I watched motorhomes being towed out of the motorhome field by tractors for a couple of days (we live in Pilton - our house actually vibrates when the John Peel Stage gets going). Big tractor + chain = knackered steering? Glad it wasn't my van.
Forecast keeps changing but last I heard it was "hot with thunderstorms" and it's rained a lot during the build. Hopefully the extra drains and new roadways will be doing their job...

We were there 2016 got out no problem - yes it was a bit muddy but we went slowly- I was driving and I am a panicker a bit ! But ok Monday after lunch. If it is wet it dries out quickly and East camper field is high so drains. But I have arranged for sunshine this year......x

I enjoyed it, Ms Kirsten, at the time. But now I think not. The owner is taking the proverbial with the current clientele.

ps. If you search, there are better spiritual homes & gardens methinks. (Actually, France springs to mind, you should try it...)

i was helping out on motorhome parking in 2016 total chaos did not let one in allnight agree with Blackadder i only live in bridgwater weather changes very quick lovely here today could change tomorrow, have a nice time, im going home everynight as not far

I live in the Lake District so know what weather can do, Kendal calling can go from nice and warm to complete wash out in a matter of hrs. We also have tickets for that and it’s pretty much on the doorstep, hope Glasto doesn’t mean that nothing else comes close?, sat here typing this after an impromptu pre Glasto get together with friends and feeling slightly weary ( hungover) and I’ve got five nights of this coming up ???????

He he, by the time I’ve finished throwing dodgy moves listening to Loud music plus copious amounts of cider I think even if there was a shed load of gennies I wouldn’t here them??

As I’m a Glasto virgin, can’t compare so will go with an open mind, at the end of the day it raises a massive amount for charity also, maybe not charity’s that I would necessarily give to walking down the high street but charity never the less

:)

We're sat in Glastonbury as you read this. Showers but warm. Fantastic atmosphere

Early entry?

Thought they said on the radio entry was Tuesday or Wednesday ?
