We've just had a new step installed and the fitter complimented us on the condition of our 2005 Autocruise Starspirit. We have clocked up 104,000 miles without any damp issues or floor rot. His opinion why so many mohos are getting rotten floors was under use, they simply rot where they stand and they need regular use to keep them dry and sound. He showed me an Autotrail 2008 with 25,000 miles on the clock. Over £2,000 spent on a replacement floor. We average 8,000 miles a year, using the van as our sole vehicle.
What do others do?

My old girl had 80,000 kmts on the clock two years ago when I got her, 1997 plate,,

Now she has 150,000 on her and runs better now than she did when I got her!!

I think she likes getting out and about more than sitting on a drive!! Xx

Our MOT tester who is also a motorhome owner has this theory....
Vans regularly on the road or stored on hardstanding generally age well.
Those stored on grass can go rotten within a few years.
Makes perfect sense to me.
