Absolutely not. The buyer has no claim to the motorhome and the dealer has their deposit.
Lose lose for the buyer if the company goes down.
A good dealer will have finances set up with the manufacturers to cover this.
And good dealers do close up.
If funds go into a client account, the buyers money is protected in all circumstances.
We're not talking a 2 Bob transaction here. The amount of money that the customer could potentially lose is life changing.

I think your missing the point. We are on about customers collecting their new motorhome, not deposits. A deposit ultimately isn't the end of the world as its normally £1000 - £2000.
What has been happening is that the customer pays £50,000 collects their van then 6 months later the Bailiffs arrive to seize the van as the dealer that does not exist any more has never paid the vehicle of their funding line. In English the finance company owns the van not the customer as the dealer never paid for the vehicle.
