Daisy our lovely Golden Retriever is 6 days away from giving birth to her first ( and last) litter of pups. Vet reckons she is carrying 3-5.

We have cleared out some furniture in the Seaman‘s Mission ( My terminology, although the Beauty Terrorist refuses to call it that..) laid some sacrificial vinyl down and now all set up..

Should be an busy weekend next week!

Is Daisy taking part in a large scale version of Pass the Pigs there?

We have a standing order for “piggles”… her favourite toy.
She is so fed up because she is not allowed to run, chase ball or go swimming ( we live 300 yards from the beach), but at least she has her piggle…

She looks just like our Ross who died over 25 years ago (apart from being pregnant) - shortish coat, good golden colour and white feathering. The olny problem with Goldies is that once you have had one, you couldn't get another breed.
Lots of pictures of new family please.

Daisy is our third retriever. We always had dogs and she is our first ever bitch. She is lovely, very tactile and super well behaved. My wife (the Beauty Terrorist) spent a year researching stud dogs which had the bloodline of our two previous retrievers - she found 3 in the UK.. one in Plymouth, one in Accrington and one in Telford. We went with the one in Telford…

So a busy night into the early hours this morning…Daisy produced 7 beautiful little pups..2 boys and 5 girls.. 5 hours from the first one to the last one.

Daisy was brilliant….am amazed at her natural maternal instincts. Pups might be deaf and blind but certainly noisy..

What do they mean? Related to names?

As I said before, my favourite breed.

I would be asking for a bitch pup, but I cannot imagine one in a MH.

Anyway they are probably all spoken for, as they are pedigree.
We will use the coloured collars to help identify them and Tesco weight gain, eating etc. We are not giving them “pet” names as that will be upto future owners, although we will be giving them registered Kennel Club names. We will be using the name of our beloved last retriever as a forename, followed by the name of The Beauty Terrorists favourite pop songs….
Eg Indiana I’m your man 😀

Our lovely old boy Indy travelled everywhere with us in our Moho. We got Daisy whilst he was still alive and they had 8 months together and they both travelled in the Moho.. no problems at all.

All potential owners are being asked to complete a questionnaire before being considered for a pup. The Beauty Terrorist is adamant they go to good homes and final selections/allocations have yet to be made…So if you are interested, drop me a PM and I can send over the questionnaire. 👍

Been away since pups were born so catching up. They are just adorable. I just love the waggie tails in post 25
Daisy and you are going to have your work cut out when they start exploring.
