We have arranged pro weighing gear set up in our area. If you want to know what your van weighs fully laden, tell the rally marshal when you arrive and we’ll get you weighed. You’ll find out exactly how many bottles of wine you can, or cannot bring back from France this year yy

can those parked in 'standard camping area' use the facility ….. I promise not to pretend to lose the keys when we've got through the hallowed entrance ….

If you can get to us. You can use it, no worries

Cheers Jim just got our new Van so the weigh in was brilliant quick and a very pleasant chap, the best news was we have 60 kilo spare when fully loaded as we are. Plenty room for beer food and extra goodies from the show

@Jim I would say no wine, ;) and lots of bargains for sale, because they have had the fear of God up em.

Sometimes you do things, you wish you hadn't.
And that's one of them. :tmi:

When I did tipper work, and you estimate your load on farms or in the field, I learnt estimating was not my strong point, and having only been caught twice I was very lucky. :whew:
I'm a bit more careful now, :winky: I get fed up dragging stuff around we never use. :pop: Bob.

Has ours done today, brilliant idea. We have 750kg left to play with so what can I buy at the show that weighs that much?

What a good idea!
Ours is a new van and our local weighbridge is closed at the moment so this was a good chance to check.
Filled up with water and still 50kgs to spare. Fairly happy bunny!
Thanks Jim.

Wonder how the salesmen at the show would feel if one of us said "right, I love your van but I want to load it with everything that's in the van I want to part exchange , weigh it , and then if it really is OK then I'll buy it " . Just a thought after the thread @Jim did on measly payloads.
Also selfishly thinking ahead and hoping it might be available at Malvern.

No good just telling us what kg u have spare, it might help if we knew what van it was and what u have on it, ie gaslow, towbars etc.
Weighed mine at work on way to Chester 3500kg all in!! No spare in here, (Thread in Elddis section for what I have done and what’s on board)(y)

You're cruel, you are. I can feel the sweat breaking out now. It might be quite quiet in the deserted FUN area.

50Kgs spare when your away for only a weekend?

Or have you been/intending to be away for longer?

You might be tight if you’re going away for a fortnight.

Ian

Has anybody been over weight on an axle, ie overloaded garage, or is everyone a goody goody.

You’re quite right, on all counts!

We’re going to explore some of the East coast after Peterborough, then we’ll go to Newbury and make our way home after that.
