Hello, been about 17 years since we went to germany, took the Newcastle Hamburg ferry and just stopped off when we found a site/ had enough driving. We did have a wonderful time though without preplanning but only had about 18 days as that was in the bad old days when we had to work. We are just preparing to go back to germany and can take our time but would like to at least have an idea where we can make stops. Can any of you please recommend any good books, like the french aires books but for germany ?? Thanks in advance

Yup, Bordatlas (in German) or Camperstop Europe (in English) We have both, and they both have their uses :)

Bord Atlas is good for Aires - we used it more than ACSI last year but if you have both you have a few more options. (y)

You can order a hard copy or download a campsite and motorhome site book free from here

Thanks chockswahay & Geraldine, is this available from vicarious books?

Yes I think it is - but you will have to translate the key information sections before you go!

I think you will be happy enough with Camperstop Europe :D
