Looks very interesting. I used to do orienteering which was fun.

Could do with something less strenuous now.

BUT what's a TRAVELBUG as mentioned in the earlier part of this thread?

A travel bug or geo coin is something you leave in the box (they have a code on them that only the owner and the person who finds it knows )..record what you have done ..another geo cacher then retrieves it and takes it some where else who records that they have picked it up etc ..long n short of it ..some bugs n coins have special missions also

I've tried pubocaching, that's good fun, find the pub with good beer go in, you'd be amazed at the special missions I've dreamed up in them!(y)

I haven't done this but know a few who have and really enjoy it. When we were in Ypres last month we walked from the Menin gate through the park along the river and hidden underneath a facinating sculpture was a book in a plastic bag. I thought that was probably Geocaching
