Hi

I do not have anything to do with manufacturing Gas alarms but we do have
one in the van since so many things we have work on gas such as the fridge ,cooker and heating ETC...better safe than sorry. Good grief ! I would not be seen dead reading the Sun or Daily Mail or any of the red tops !
All we can agree on is that it is possible to get robbed and sleep through it .
About time we gave this topic a rest till the next time ..eh ?

I always wondered how long the alleged gas attack thieves have to wait before it is safe to enter the van or do they wear gas masks?
We are in Amboise now and every Eastern European driving a tanker full of nitrous oxide wearing a gas mask makes me feel nervous!
Oh, there goes another one.........

I could be lifted out of bed laid on the verge and the van stolen before I'd wake up

I try to resist making light of a dreadful event from the past... (but I often fail.)

So Mr Ojibway, your parents never told you they enjoyed a drink or two before going to bed?

JJ
They were not those expats in Kenya, JJ.
They liked a pre-dinner martini cocktail in the evening.
They weren't in a motorhome and they had no 'insurer' to pass inflated claims to.
Houses had bars on all ground floor windows but 1st floor access was easier.
Burglaries were common and the police were disinterested.

Hi

This makes you wonder why the truckers are not targeted by gangs of thieves since they would have a lot of high value goods making robbing them much more profitable than a couple in a motorhome .Perhaps it happens and we don't hear about it or maybe they have very good security systems and alarms onboard.
Who says they are not?

I think Mr Ojibway you might have missed the smiley  I put in my last post.

It was meant as a joke, not a serious point.

I am sorry if it upset/irritated you.

A lack of a sense of humour seems to be a bit common on the Forum at the moment. Shifty is sticking pins in an effigy of me on another thread!
