I have these fitted to my Gaslow bottles and just wonder how accurate they are as they simply clip on to the bottles.
Does anyone have any experience of these ?

I've found them to give a reasonable approximation. You need to be aware how the work - they don't start to register till 50% empty point. Look on the Gaslow site - there is a diagram of how they work, and what the different colours mean

I find them OK, gives you a rough estimate. I have two 11kg bottles so if one runs out I know I have to fill up soon.

On one cylinder it shows empty and one is full. It just baffles me as to how they actually work

We have one on ours, we find that when it says empty it's half full, so when it does say empty it's time to look for a gas station(y)

The only one that are accurate are the float type built into the bottles the ones on the outlet only give you an indication when the bottles are empty they are a waste of time.

Anyone tried the autochangover valve from truma? It has a remote panel to show when the first bottle is empty, having a full second would give plenty of time to find lpg.

I have been using a two bottle Gaslow system for eight years.

I no longer use the autochange over system, nor do I use the gauges (one has fallen off).

I use my gas appliances and when I run out, I switch over manually to the other bottle.

I then fill up the next time I am able to.
