Just let my gaslow bottle empty, it took 20.5 litres to fill. Is this about right as I thought It would hold more like 22 litres.

I assume you have a 11kg bottle ? if so it just means your float / cut off is working :thumb: and yes you should have got 22 ltrs but better safe.

On my very first fill 4 years ago mine took 22 litres but since then it has never taken more than about 20.5 ltrs so i would say it is about normal.

the floats are pretty inaccurate , when I had a tank which was supposed to cut out at 60 litres it varied between 56 and 67 litres
which is why I didn't trust them ...had 3 total failure as well , didn't cut off at all !

what you did was the safest thing ...empty the bottle and check you don't go over approximately 22 litres

Thanks to you all, looking at the gaslow website it seems my 20.5 ltrs is about right.
At least I know the cut off valve works well.

what you have to remember is, todays liter is slightly larger than 4 years ago due to global warming and the depletion of the Ozone layer causing the gas to expand more in the lower atmospheric pressure.

that is one reason for the higher prices today than back then....

I've had two gaslow tanks for 5yrs in all my motorhomes & everytime I fill them up from empty they've always took 44.5 litres of gas.
