Whatever you do don't forget them

I saw a motorhome in castellon and he was selling them . He had a display board on.his dash and he was asking €35 each for them

I paid £22 for the set of 3 delivered in the UK

I have all 3 as well. Top for Spain, bottom for France. Middle worked, I think, in Germany?
But, tried to fill up in Netherlands a couple of weeks ago, none of them were any use. Plus, the filling station didnt have one either.

I have printed this off and have it stuck on the inside of the gas locker door.

Since May 05 (Ex Tuggers).
We have one of those round metal sweet tins in the glove compartment, with all four adapters stored in it.

Once I establish which is needed, Rita then sorts it out for me.
:)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

We filled up in Holland and we didn’t need an adapter, it was same as UK.

7 years campers before that
weve always found that petrol stations have some adaptors only once have we failed as all of the adaptors were a smaller thread possibly 3/8

Your Spanish one has the non-return valve in it, best to remove it as it can cause problems when filling up as your inlet has a non return valve in it.

I shudder to risk disagreeing with Mr Clark who is a real expert on most things to do with motorhomes but...

Portugal has switched from the bottom (cup) adapter and now uses the top one (same as Spain... spit).

I see why you recommend removal of non return valve, could you explain how to do this.
Thank you

When I saw thenon return valve in the Spanish adapter I thought it odd. Presumably you get a blowback when disconnecting the pump and another when unscrewing the adapter I have never yet needed to use the top one in anger though I do carry one.

Interesting, what sort of problems please?

The other day we needed to get our first LPG fill in Spain. I had the three adaptors to hand and thought I'd just ask the attendant. But before I could say anything, he wipped out his own adaptor from his pocket and proceeded to fill up (single 11kg gas-it bottle). All done in a flash, so to speak...

I expected it to take about 20 litres+, but in fact only 13 litres went in?

I know the gauges are notoriously inaccurate, but it showed completely empty beforehand (although the gas didn't actually run out), and then full after just 13 litres?

Somewhat puzzled... Could this be related?
