Has anyone ever lodged a support ticket with GASIT Technical Support?

I lodged one 25 days ago and have still not had an answer and part of it related to what I regard as a safety issue concerning the life of pig tail cables.

The general tenor of the support query is going to result in sales for them so would have thought that it should have been dealt with by now both from a commercial and safety perspective. I am also a recent existing/previous customer.

I have sent them a chaser this evening! You cannot phone the support team or I would have tried that!

I have always phoned them on their 01286 832443 number with my quires, have you not tried that ?

If I remember the LPG regs are 10 years recommended for pigtails.

Thank you all very much for your replies. Nick from Gasit also replied to my chaser to say that things are taking longer than usual and their sales guy is off with Covid but recovering well. He said to call him on his mobile if I had his number. Believe me, I would have called him if I had his number but he didn't give it! He gave no indication when he would get around to my query!

Charlie (Basildog) who runs Autogas 2000 and Vangas pm'd me with an offer of help which I have taken up and he is going to sort out my requirements in the morning so full marks to him!

I have now ordered the parts that I need from Autogas 2000 so that I can instal a fill point in the skirt of my van. This is important as some garages will turn you away if you try and fill your gas bottles by opening the gas locker. Not everyone knows that there are gas bottles that can be refilled or they have a company policy against allowing it! This has also happened to us abroad so I will be pleased when its done. Alde also did not like it when they serviced the heating system!

My rubber gas pigtail hoses are 2018 vintage so will last until 2023 and the rubber fill hoses are 2013 vintage so will last until 2023 as they have a 10 year life.

Anyone down my way near Newton Abbot will find that Trago Mills is the cheapest place to refill with LPG gas by a long way. 60 odd pence a litre compared to most others at 80 off pence per litre. The entrance to Trago is opposite the Caravan & Motorhome site at Stover, adjacent to Stover Countyr Park and Stover Golf Course.
