Our East Neuk Campervans Fifer gas is from an on-board tank that supplies the hob and oven. At 12 months old the regulator failed and was replaced ENC. The regulator itself looked like a fairly bog standard item to my eyes. Now, 23 months later the gas supply has again packed up and as the symptoms are the same (low flame on the hob that diminishes when another ring is lit) I’m assuming (pending investigation by ENC) that the regulator has again failed. Fitting yet another regulator is not a long term solution. Does anyone have experience of this problem and how it can be sorted?

There is a filter that you can fit if there is room which is supposed to trap any goo before it gets to the regulator I think they are about 50 pounds .

Could be a lot of oily substance in your tank, could be over filling and your getting liquid rather than vapour, maybe the regulator is not high enough, best thing is speak to http://www.autogasleisure.co.uk/
they are the experts and might have come across this before. :) Bob.

Post #316 on this thread shows the filters Lenny HB fitted.

I assume the OP's underslung fixed LPG tank has the regulator directly attached to the tank.

In which case, it may be difficult to add a filter unless there is a specific adaptor designed to allow this. Just saying :D2

Best to contact the manufacturer of the fixed tank or ask ENC for their comments.

Many thanks to all for your prompt replies. I’ve contacted ENC and they are asking the regulator supplier for advice. I’ve also contacted Autogas 2000 and am awaiting their feedback.
