Always on (except the tunnel) we have Secumotion.

Legal to have it on in France only if vehicle is post 1/1/2007, which ours is, though why that should make any difference escapes me.

On except on ferries ... Tunnel would be the same.....it does cut out sometimes en-route but mostly stays on.

Does that mean you haven't had a crash and exploded in a ball of fire in 20 years :Eeek::ROFLMAO:

I have a Secumotion regulator and leave the gas on all the time. SHMBO would be very displeased if anything delayed in any way her cuppa when we stop.

I'm also on all the time apart from tunnel and one that no one seems to have mentioned , on the ferry, can't recall if it's law but always turn ours off then.
Even though the gas is on , always turn fridge to 12 v when moving just to save the gas, not much I know but why waste it:thumb:

I belive that they state that gas must be turned of on the ferry.so if I am going to north spain on a ferry I take a elec fridge box and a spare 12 volt.battery so I can take bacon for me and my favourite meats with us.:RollEyes:

Gas on

Leave mine on, van fitted with Secumotion which turns it off in event of collision.

I always leave mine on because I tend to get problems getting the gas only water boiler relit when we arrive at camp.
However years ago when we used to caravan I always turned off the gas when travelling because we only had a gas fire.

::bigsmile: Seems to be about 50/50 - although most of those that leave it on appear to have this "securemotion" thingy I've not heard of.

I agree actually turning it on and off doesn't take long - it's fighting my way in to the gas locker which is hidden by the hab door when open, bad design and fiddly blooming locks. And of course remembering to do it as I don't always turn it on - it's that or EHU, never both.

Think I'll still keep on turning it off.
