Has anyone else had a problem getting these to work on the bottom of Gaslow bottles?
They work on the side but I can’t get them to work on the bottom.
Has anyone else had an issue?

I had to get a wire brush and give it a good go at the bottom centre. Once you move it it may not give a reading for a few mins. I was the same as you the wire brush taking the paint off did the trick for me. ?

To transmit the ultrasonic "sound" the transmitter/receiver needs close contact with the bottle. If paint is too thick it won't work because of the cushioning effect. Paint might have pooled at the bottom.

Thanks for the suggestion. Try to get he bottles in and out is a real pain.
I may send them back and stick to the simple method of keeping one bottle closed until one is empty and then simply filling up as soon as possible

I have now tried the sensors on 4 different bottles and none of them get reading on the bottom.
This seems a great idea but not quite good enough in practice. If you used exchange bottles it would be a right faff whenever you changed bottles.
Shame the sensors don’t work on the side of bottles where you seem to get a reading every time.

Don’t give up so easy mate. They really do work. I thought my bottle was nearly full according to the gauge. Once the sensor was in it was only at 44%. You will get it working ok ?

Never had any issues with fitting to the 2 gaslow bottles in our van. They both worked first time. Did you have any issues pairing the sensors to your device?

They paired no problem but I can’t get them to work on the bottom of the bottles, they work fine on the sides.

After a bit of chasing Gas It changed the sensors and I now know exactly how much gas I have in each bottle:).
No faffing just chucked them on the bottom of the bottles and both work perfect;y.

Remember to use the supplied grease that came with the sensor.
I have had zero readings before with the gasit sensor on a calor bottle which cleared up immediately with the application of said grease.

I found mine to be too much faffing about. The sensor should be shaped to the curve of the bottle. Just could not get it to work reliably. Sent back to Gas It who refunded promptly without issue. The Truma one seems to be a better design but more money than I would like to spend.

I'm picking up my truma one today as part of my i-net installation.
I hope you're right.
