We have a Dutch friend heading to Ireland this summer . Can you fill bottles with LPG there or is it like UK where you need to have an outside connection ?

Can't answer exactly but although myLPG is showing quite a few stations when we were there 4 years ago we found them quite
rare, also they wouldn't let you fill up yourself so that may cause a problem with bottles.

Where in the UK do you need an outside connection?

We've had our Gaslow system since 2009 (now in it's second van) and the filling point though fixed, is fixed inside the locker!.

I don't think you need an outside input as you say in the UK or Ireland. The only place where you may be refused is France and then it has only been the odd report.

In fact in Eire depending who you know I believe you can get a calor bottle refilled LOL

My reading of the post was he wanted to fill bottles direct.
Not sure if was on here or another forum about Morrisons not letting you fill if you don't have an outside point.

Ok have just checked with him and he does have a connection but it is inside his locker.

Should be OK the Irish are very laid back, just don't let the gas get too so you can make it to the next station if there is a problem.

Thanks for all the replies :-)) I will pass on the advice :-)
