The rubber pigtail generally has a service life of 5 years. Normally it has writing on the pigtail or orange hose with DOM { date of manufacture }.
I carried out a plumbing repair on an Auto-trail Tracker 53 plate Motorhome today and just happened to glance inside the gas locker before I left.
The rubber pipe was ruptured near the jubilee clip.
Please check your propane/ butane gas hoses and pigtails on your vans { date and condition } and if they are out of date / perished please arrange replacement.
They don't cost much money to buy. Better to be safe than sorry.

When I re-took my lpg element about 3 years ago was told, they have now changed the life of a hose to 10 years, the same as a regulator. As usual, no explanation of why.
I still have the manual I'll look it up and confirm asap
