We recently bought our first motorhome, going through the paperwork, it has had a habitation/ gas check (here in Spain), it says pressure test good with no leaks, but also says no certificate can be issued due to copper pipes?
Is this a concern?

I don't think so. Mine got a cert in 2017 when it was imported & registered in Spain (1992 German spec, Polish origin), and I thought it would expire but doesn't, and I have never been asked for it.
I can't tell you of the pipes are all copper but some of them are.
I think if you have any concerns then speak to your regular house gas fitting company. I would like to do this as I have never been really happy with the fit between adaptors for the MH system and Spanish bayonet bottles

If you want gas work/certificates you would be better to talk to a marine gas engineer than one who does domestic gas. The two gas systems are very different between moving vehicle using cylinders, to a solid building using low pressure gas. Most boat marinas have a gas man that they use/recommend. And they are qualified with different qualifications.

This is in Spain, though - where my friend's house gas is supplied from exchangeable 13g butano cylinders.

I homolgated mine with copper pipes?
Yes that puzzled me 🤔
BSEN 1949 which is a European standard for leisure vehicles certainly doesn’t exclude copper pipe work .

Yes. But a stationary house, is very different to a moving structure such as a house or boat. Hence different qualifications (in the UK), and the wiring done differently. The chances of crashing your house on the motorway is slight.

Thanks all, won`t worry then as no leaks!

Just another update, i visited the dealer who did the gas check, i asked about the copper pipes being a problem, i was told that due to copper pipes having a welded seam, they couldnt issue the certificate.
