Garmin Camper 795 Dash Mount (that allows the screen to work)?

Just bought a camper 795 from Garmin after much deliberation and justification.

It's totally designed to mount on the screen but I assumed we'd be able to mount it on the dash - our moho is an A Class so the screen is too far away.

The suction plate doesn't stick on the dash, but even if it did, the screen does not flip so it would be unusable (the suction plate is designed to stick above the satvan).

Has anyone found a simple solution that I'm overlooking before I send it back?
I really want this to work but it seems so crazy and Garmin says it's just the way it is.

We're not bothered about the dashcam as we have a wolfbox but not aware of any other motorhome specific product.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, we bought a small adhesive disc that sticks to the dash and the Garmin sucker sticks to the top of that. I will look for a link for you.

I posted this link (to an article which is still there but not usually live) on a similar thread a few weeks ago.
It's some years since I wrote the article but there are a few mounting ideas in it which may be useful.

Would a Garmin Air Vent Mount work for you?
eg https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-010-11952-00-Parent-Air-Vent-Mount/dp/B00B5TELRI?tag=mhf04-21

Alternatively, you could put a smooth self-adhesive plate on the dashboard and you should be able to invert a sucker mount attached to it..
