Hi All

Has anyone had problems with trying to purchase a safety camera update for Europe via Garmin Express, i have asked Garmin but no reply to date.
Is there another way of adding safety cameras to the Satnav , maybe using another company

Assuming you have lifetime maps I think safety camera updates are provided as part of a software \ firmware process using Garmin Express. Pretty sure our 760 and 780 both updated a week or two back before we departed on our current trip.

Maybe I'm wrong then and updates are an add-on subscription for the 760.

Just checked Express and there is an update for Garmin Cyclops Europe showing for our 780 so maybe that's where I'm getting confused.

Having said that whilst speed camera data does appear on our maps I don't really monitor this as I just make sure we're on \ below the speed limit shown on road signage and the sat nav.

If you go into your settings you will see the countries that have cyclops downloads. Agree with others if you have the lifetime maps good chance you have free lifetime cyclops updates too.

There have been a number of issues with Garmin updates via Express recently. Some devices are checking for updates and then showing them as needing to be paid for, even though they should be free. I had a similar issue with my 770. Said that if I needed map updates for Europe I had to pay for them, even though I have lifetime updates, but at the same time told me that there were updates for Middle East & North Africa which I don't have installed. Garmin support were fairly useless and the issue only resolved itself when the next version of Express came out. However the latest version of Express tells me I have 6 updates, will install them and then as soon as I restart Express tells me I have the same 6 updates outstanding, and will happily reinstall them, time after time. Garmin support totally stumped yet again.
Not sure if the 760 has Wireless on it but the wireless update on the 770 works fine and once any updates are applied it reports everything is up to date.

Thanks all, i managed to contact Garmin Technical Support again this afternoon, they are saying there is a technical issue with there payment process/provider that is stopping the purchase of safety camera updates, hopefully they will now sort it

My camper 760 updates the safety cameras monthly no charge. Have you tried updating with Wifi rather than Garmin Express.

Thanks, I think I have an older version satnav that can only update with a USB cable using Garmin Express
