Anybody know if you can replace the battery on a Garmin 660 please? Ours works fine when plugged in but fairly quickly loses charge when not. A Google search shows you can do it on a Zumo or Nuvi but don't think these are the same?

Dont know whether this relates to you or not, we had an issue with the Garmin 660 charging and the screen becoming unreadable on our last holiday.
We thought all was lost and would have to buy a new one.
Then as a last desperate attempt we changed the charging lead and when it was disconnected it went back to working normally.

I have a Garmin Zumo 660 (don't know if your one is the same) , batteries are replaceable for about £20.

The Zumo seems to be specifically for motorcycles and the Garmin website says their batteries are removable, but it doesn't say that about the camper versions and I can only find batteries for Zumo on places like Amazon. Just wondered if anyone had given it a go anyway.

I recently changed the battery on my Garmin buck 1390, I had to prise it apart but it was easy enough.
