I'm new!
Can anyone recommend somewhere we can get our brakes looked at in the South of France, currently near Beziers and will be near Ales next week. Apparently pads were almost new before we left, done 2500 miles since. There's sometimes an awful grinding noise from off-side front wheel so assume it's a brake problem... Fiat 2.8 JTD

We had problems finding a garage when we were down that way and were told by normal garages to go to a camping car garage. In the end we just winged it and hoped for the best and got the van fixed in U.K. But for you that might not be easy! Good Luck.

We were told there's a camping car garage in Beizers though

Any repair garage will do, as will any Feu Vert (sort of quickfit type chain). Google for branches near you.

could also be a stone trapped or even a wheel bearing starting to go

Just had a look at the disc and the inner face is not as smooth as the other. I'm guessing to brake pad has worn down to the metal, sounds like that!

The new pads can operate on part of the old disc which will have a wear lip and/or corrosion its not uncommon and will generate a noise, if fitting pads only we grind back the disc so its clear from the pads, if you can see your discs then you may be able to see where the pads are contacting the corrosion/lip.
